According to figures released by the Federation of Greek tourist enterprises, Greece continues to build tourist flow, allowing some experts even suggest a cutoff figures growth on pace.
In particular, it is reported that between January and April arrivals in Greece increased by 5.6% compared to similar period of last year, already surpassing the mark in 1 147 000 tourists. Particularly impressed by the Hellenes, which Greeks noted an increase of 24.04%. In General, only last month Greece was visited by tourist 541 974, which is almost half of all visitors since the beginning of the year.
According to the Federation, the highest increase of tourist arrivals was recorded at the airport of Zakynthos, Kos and Rhodes. In particular, the increase of tourist arrivals through the airport of Rhodes, was 133% in April and 119.18% since the beginning of the year, respectively. The Zakintose recorded an increase of 504 percent for April and 521% for 4 months of 2011. But most of all the Hellenes, whose growth was good Cos of that of the 600% for 4 months.
